Hey Lint! I just surfed onto your podcast and subscribed... I remember reading the original MST3K article in a bundle of Wonders that Rod Bennett sent me, and it was interesting to hear it read by the author ^_^

Congratulations on the new kiddlybean!

I just listened to the podcast, and I think it's one of the funniest ones you've done so far! (Maybe you should do more podcasts when you're sick and feeling awful, Lint.) (Just kidding.)

I loved:

- "I accepted Keith Green as my personal Lord and Savior at a Jesus concert."

- Katie's comments on liminalism. It was a surprisingly surreal moment - maybe it was just me, but I could imagine that she was actually trying to express something with her sighs and gurgles. She was on the cusp, as it were, of communicating with us from Baby World. In a liminal sort of way. ;)

BTW, I had an experience yesterday that fits your definition of "liminoid" to a T. Did you catch any of the "We Are One" concert/show/ceremony/break-our-arms-patting-ourselves-on-the-back-fest for Barack Obama last night on HBO? Precisely because we weren't swept up in the "moment" it was trying to fabricate, Gary and I commented all through it about the strange feelings it gave us and the disconnect between pop culture and real culture. See here for good thoughts from Mark Shea on it: http://www.markshea.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html#6950691846851422577

Enjoy, Kathleen
